You probably shouldn't have pestered him about it. Let me spare you a lot of time wasted by waiting by the phone: if you think you have to wait for them to call...they're not. Boys never EVER call when they say they're going to. It's just a fact of life. Plus he was with his family and that probably, and should, take precedence over you. Stop waiting by the phone, stop thinking about it, and carry on. The last thing boys that age are thinking about is when the "perfect" time is to call you while they have all their friends in the room giggling in the background. Don't bother him about it again. You may as well get a headstart with the boy you were scheduled to have a crush on for next week, because these things are quite petty.
