I had surgery 30 years ago for an ascending testicle. I found out recently that it was caused by Agent Orange.?

My father was exposed to Agent Orange while serving in the Vietnam war in the late 1960's. I was born in 1974, and had surgery for an ascending testicle in 1980. In 2001 ,I was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and had orchiectomy surgery, along with radiation treatment. The cancer was thought to be a side effect of the surgery i had in 1980. Now, I recently found out that the ascending testicle is a common trait of male offspring to veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam, thus falling into a Veteran's benefits system. My question is- am i eligible for any money from a surgery/ailment i had 30 years ago? and where would i begin to pursue this? I am not looking to get rich here. i've been working since i was 16, and currently make minimum wage. I'd hate to ask my father to look into it, because his health is pretty bad right now (from diabetes and other ailments caused by a.o.)
