Why is home schooling so big in the USA?

Very much the reason why British kids are generally smarter than the Americans. Like you say it is very much predominantly a Christian thing, i would ume the parents do this to protect there children from being taught Evolution, and other Science based issues that make there faith look bad. It is very common in the Southern states, Texas, Florida, Georgia.
